About this Event

Dear LEARN! Members,

We are pleased to invite you to a seminar on February the 28th with Anouk Zuurmond

During this seminar, Anouk Zuurmond would like to discuss the outline for a book for which she has received a subsidy by the ‘Lira Fonds’, with the aim to publish academic research for a larger audience in Dutch (see https://www.lira.nl/Articles/lira-fonds-wijst-vier-beurzen-toe-voor-toegankelijk-geschreven-boeken-). The book, with the provoking working title Why don’t we turn schools into businesses? will discuss different philosophers on the role of schools in society to address the issue of increasing marketization / privatization / public – private partnerships in education. This book is in the early stages and work-in-progress, so your thoughts and suggestions are very welcome.
