About this Event
Join community historian Rita Martelli for a gallery talk on Liverpool's thriving Black music scene during the 1950s and 60s, and the rise in Beatlemania, from her first-hand perspective.
The talk will be followed by a screening of the Granada TV documentary Who Put the Beat in Merseybeat? with a Q&A session with Rita afterwards.
Please note - tickets are limited for the gallery talk due to space but there may be availability on the day.
Tickets are not required for the film and Q&A session in the Leggate Theatre.
