Join us for an opportunity to sample Scotch whiskies aged between 13 and 19 years old. Discover what extra time in cask does to whisky amid a wave of no age statements on the market. The teenage years are a real sweet spot for Scotch and we will show you why.
We will be sampling five delicious aged examples of premium Scotch single malt whisky. This will give the chance to taste whiskies that are not commonly found in bars or supermarkets, and explore what this degree of ageing does to a whisky.
The ticket includes five Scotch whiskies, selected by your host. Matt will guide you through each whisky and explain about each brand or distillery, plus the key factors that make premium Scotch single malt whisky so sought after and expensive.
Questions are welcomed and encouraged.
The tasting will take place at the wonderful Haverstock Tavern pub on Haverstock Hill, NW3. This is approximately five minutes walk from Chalk Farm Underground station (Northern Line / Edgware branch). Several local bus routes also stop nearby - routes 1, 31, 393 and C11.
The tasting will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Please feel free to arrive early for a pre-tasting drink or bite to eat. They have a great selection of craft beers, a good wine list and a delicious new food menu.
No previous whisky knowledge needed, just enthusiasm and interest.
All guests are asked to Drink Responsibly.
