About this Event
This is your invitation to sip, snack, paint and play with so many Seattle favorites:
Join us for an evening at Westland Whiskey in the Sodo district of Seattle, enjoy tasty vittles from Ashley Rodriguez @ashrod as she shares preview bites from her much-anticipated new book Rooted Kitchen, and learn the foundations of the watercolor art with Sarah Simon @TheMintGardener from her BRAND NEW book in her Watercolor Workbook series, all while enjoying sips and creative moments in good community. Come enjoy this creative fête, take a mindful evening to celebrate new recipes and new paintings - and step inside the welcoming Westland tasting room as you sip and soak in the slow beauty of painting, whiskey and good food.
The Painting
Come and paint with Sarah in her BRAND NEW book in her Watercolor Workbook series: Café in Bloom ! You will receive your signed copy of the book almost a month ahead of everyone else! After this class with Sarah, you will be skilled and knowledgeable, with the new ability to see and recreate the watercolor art process, layer by layer. During our time together, you will learn the techniques Sarah uses for watercolor, and see how she uniquely teaches the foundations of this art as a transferable and mindful skill. Sarah teaches you step-by-step in her new book, Watercolor Workbook: , and once you know how to paint a few flowing washes, that knowledge can be used to paint a fabulous project together from the book. The possibilities are endless with this beautiful art form. Once you work through the foundations together, learn the steps to paint in her new book, together with Sarah. You will work on the pre-drawn template of the project in the book, so no drawing is required.
With this class registration, you will receive all of the materials you need to continue to paint at home: brushes, paints and of course…your own signed copy of Sarah's NEW Watercolor Workbook. The official pub date isn't until May 28th, so you get to paint and play in your new book early! Sarah cannot wait for you to join us; to fall in love with the flowing freedom of watercolor, and the beauty of watching paint and water dance along your pages.
