Join us for a free 2.5-hour LEGO adventure! Families build mini data centres and meet Fluffbit the Cloud in this creative workshop.
About this Event

Welcome to Where the Internet Goes to Sleep!

Come join us at Homerton Library where children (ages 5 - 11) and families step into the role of mini engineers, building their own data centres, the places where our photos, messages, and favourite games are stored.

Each free community workshop blends creativity with learning, helping children understand technology in a way that feels playful, personal, and exciting.

Parents join in too, learning alongside their children as they explore how “the cloud” really works.

Our sessions spark confidence, curiosity, and connection - showing that imagination is infrastructure.

Important Info

This is not a drop-in session - it’s a free 2.5-hour immersive experience designed for children and families.

Please arrive by 1:50 PM so the session can start promptly at 2:00 PM.

During the workshop, children will:

  • Build their own mini data centres from LEGO
  • Join a storytelling circle featuring Where the Internet Goes to Sleep
  • Play hands-on games to explore how the internet really works
  • Parents and carers (one per child) are warmly encouraged to stay and take part - it’s a shared family learning experience!

Photography Notice:

Photos and videos may be taken during the session for educational and promotional purposes. Please speak to a facilitator on the day if you do not wish to be included.
