About this Event
Climate change is a core theme in the senior secondary curriculum, but it often appears abstract and fragmented in everyday life. This interactive workshop uses a locally relevant and relatable entry point—food systems—to help participants connect climate fundamentals with daily consumption and Hong Kong’s food import and waste context through systems thinking.
What you will explore
- Climate science essentials as they relate to food
- Hong Kong’s food import patterns and waste challenges
- Systems thinking and the reasoning behind sustainable choices
- The Value Hill framework for identifying opportunities across the food value chain
Learning outcomes
By the end of the workshop you will be able to:
- Differentiate linear and circular models and understand their economic and environmental implications
- Identify key principles of circularity, from product durability to resource recovery
- Apply practical strategies that foster circular innovation and organisational resilience
Join us to discover how everyday food choices can unlock new value streams, reduce risk, and future‑proof your organisation in a rapidly evolving economy.。
The workshop fee includes general admission to the Green Women Festival, granting access to talks, booths, and goodie bags. The workshop will be conducted bilingually. 工作坊費用包括參加綠色女性節的基本入場券,允許進入演講、展位和禮包。工作坊將以雙語進行。
