An interactive workshop on humour in poetry:
ideal for poets, stand-ups and spoken-word artists

2.00 pm—3.30 pm + informal discussion time
Using examples from poems across the ages, we will examine
Comic verse forms
Satire and irony
Puns and punchlines
‘Slapstick’
By the end of the session, you will have completed a short original poem of your own
The taught workshop session lasts approx. 1 hour 30 minutes, with the opportunity for further discussion at the end.
Beginners and more experienced writers are welcome. Feel free to bring along any work you might wish to share if time allows.
Course leader Adrian Fayter is a published author with an MA in Creative Writing and substantial teaching experience.

Access: The Fabrication shop has 3 steps up from the street and 2 further steps inside to access the rear of the shop. The class area is located at the rear of the shop floor. Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via stairs only.
