Calling all sole practitioners and architects working in small practices! Join us for this discussion followed by a Q&A, Networking and Drinks. Join us at Solus Ceramics Showroom in Clerkenwell, at 80 Clerkenwell Road London EC1M 5RJ for our next Incubator Session led by Jo Edwards , Director of Edwards Rensen Architects. The talk will be delivered by Harish Phillips, ex founder of Bell Phillips and the focus will be on the lessons learned from 20 years of building a practice. A structured timeline of the practice which demonstrates the pitfalls that need to be avoided by Architects. Explore the techniques required for your practice to evolve and grow, interwoven with some interesting stories delivered by Hari.
20 years, 20 lessons
Hari founded Bell Phillips with Tim Bell in 2004. Over two decades the practice became a sector leader in council housing, community-led housing and regeneration projects with a strong social focus. Its design excellence is reflected in widespread recognition within the industry including over 40 awards.
In 2024 Hari took the decision to step away from Bell Phillips to pursue other interests; teaching, mentoring and design review. In this talk Hari will reflect on his time leading and growing the practice to a team of over 40, the challenges faced and some of the lessons he learned along the way.
