WGRT Girls Rugby Development Camp (Ages 8–18), Ōtautahi Christchurch

Whakatū Girls Rugby Trust (WGRT) is excited to bring our proven Girls Rugby Development Camp to Ōtautahi Christchurch for the first time.

This camp is designed for girls aged 8–18, whether they’re new to rugby or already playing, and focuses on building confidence, skills, connection, and enjoyment in a safe and supportive environment.

WGRT camps are values-led, inclusive, and delivered by experienced coaches — with a strong emphasis on fun, belonging, and positive rugby experiences.

Cost is never a barrier to participation, with scholarships available to support families where needed.

Info: Day one: welcome, camp briefing, skill foundations, confidence-building, small-sided games, & team connection. We will finish off the evening with a BBQ dinner for participants. Whānau can buy a BBQ dinner ticket for an additional $8.00 per person.

Info: Day two: continued skill development, game understanding, match play, reflection, and wrap-up. Participants will be provided with morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea, reinforcing the importance of nutrition and fuelling the body for performance and wellbeing.
