About this Event
The best presentations feel simple to follow, with ideas that build in a way that makes sense and keeps hold of the points that need to land. While that might sound straightforward, shaping a presentation so it carries momentum and holds attention takes more thought than it first appears.
In this one-hour session, Jane Sheffield from Effective Speaking will share how to build structure into your thinking so your content is clear easy to follow, and is focused on what your audience needs to take away.
Jane will begin with a short demonstration using the SpeakerMap™ Framework. As a group you’ll identify what works and why, and use this as a reference point throughout the session.
The session will provide practical ways to:
- Organise, refine and present a clear message that is built around your audience
- Structure your ideas so they flow and make sense
- Use supporting information in a way that strengthens your message
- Guide people through your content so they stay with you from start to finish
Ideal for people who share ideas, present in meetings, or speak more formally. You’ll come away from this session with a clearer way to approach how you communicate your thinking.
