as together, we explore how fashion helps us remember where we come from. This year, our creative director, Sophia Peacock, draws inspiration from the earth she grew up on, in Ohio, and pays homage to the trees she grew up with, the Hemlocks. The designers for this year's show were asked to consider the following when creating their pieces;
where the hemlocks grow.
When I was born,
a tree grew,
In a patch of dirt somewhere in Ohio,
When you were born,
A tree grew,
On a patch of dirt somewhere unfamiliar to me,
it is yours, though.
It is home,
And there,
a hemlock grew with you,
From earth that you know.
How do you root yourself in grounds unfamiliar?
How do you honor home?
We ask you too, to consider these questions, as doors open at 5:30PM and the show begins at 6:30PM.
