Join us for an interactive community experience centered around storytelling, creativity, healing, and collective imagination on Chicago’s West Side.
The West Side Love Map event is designed to amplify meaningful spaces and activate community pride by bringing together residents, artists, families, youth, creatives, and institutional partners in a welcoming environment rooted in possibility, culture, and connection.
What to Expect
West Side Love Map Activation
Help us complete and expand the community Love Map by marking places across the West Side that hold memories, meaning, culture, joy, and vision for the future. Participants will contribute stories, reflections, and ideas directly onto the map.

Guided conversation prompts inspired by the “36 Questions for Civic Love” will encourage intergenerational dialogue about sacred spaces, neighborhood memories, and dreams for the future of our communities.

Fun and interactive art-making stations for all ages featuring collaborative coloring activities, creative expression, and community engagement.
Photo Tent Experience
Capture moments with family, friends, neighbors, and community members through a creative photo activation space.

Guests will receive access to community resources, including printouts and information connected to local initiatives and the “Love Letter to the West Side” research project connected with the Chicago History Museum.
Community Survey & Feedback
Participants will have the opportunity to complete a short community survey and respond to questions, ideas, and suggestions that will help shape future West Side activations and programming.
