About this Event
Welcome to the Lab is a free, standalone Saturday session for high schoolers ages 14 to 17 who are curious, creative, and ready to explore the world of technology on their own terms. No prior experience or attendance required.
We'll kick off with icebreakers and community-building activities, then hear directly from young tech professionals who look like us, started where we are, and built something real. You'll leave knowing what's possible for you — and why your voice and your ideas belong in tech spaces.
WHAT TO EXPECT
🔬 Welcome & icebreakers — Meet your peers and facilitators in a fun, relaxed opening activity.
🎤 Young professionals panel — Hear origin stories from people not far removed from your seat who are now working in tech, design, and entrepreneurship.
💬 Identity & tech conversation — An honest, open discussion about who gets to be "a tech person" — and why the answer has always been everyone.
🌱 Set your intentions — Define what you want to learn, build, and become.

This event is completely free. Registration is required as space is limited.
FOR PARENTS & GUARDIANS
This is a safe, structured, and inspiring 2-hour session for teens. Drop off at 11:00 AM and return at 1:00 PM.
