Overview
Ready to build confidence, think on your feet, and have a lot of fun doing it? This is a fun and inclusive event where absolutely all are welcome. We will learn the basics of improv, play some exercises and games, and laugh a LOT.
Over 2 hours you’ll learn how to create spontaneous moments, collaborate with others and tell stories in the moment. Whether you've taken improv or theatre classes before, or you will be dipping your toes into improv for the first time, we'd love to have you join us.

Our TBC Course Structure Explained:
Our courses and classes have 2 defining numbers.
The first number defines the level.
100 series - Introductory
200 series - Intermediate
300 series - Advanced
etc.
Then the 01, 02, 03 etc. defines the type of class.101 Intro to Improv (building blocks) |102 Intro to Shortform |103 Intro to Longform
This class series is in our introductory (100) series space, and will be taking you through the very foundational building blocks of this level. You can then use these skills to go on to a full 101 course, or just be awesome in life.

About the Teacher:
Paul Connolly is an Edinburgh-based award-winning actor, comedian, improviser, teacher, writer and director.
He is best known for his work with TBC Improv and the Scottish Comedy Award Winning Spontaneous Players (Spontaneous Sherlock, Spontaneous Potter).
As well as performing around the UK, Europe and North America, since 2010 Paul has taught and trained extensively in acting, improv, musical improv, sketch and more, studying at among others: Edinburgh College; UCB/Magnet Theater/Terry Knickerbocker Studio (New York); iO/Second City (Chicago); Drama Inc. (Atlanta).
As a teacher, Paul focuses on creating a supportive and safe environment where students are encouraged to really examine their own and others work; to understand how and why things work; and to reach their full potential as performers.
