About this Event

Join us as we bring together our current cohort, or alumni, our Enterprises-in-Residence past and present and our community for three days of learning and networking.

From Tuesday 24th to Thursday 26th, we'll be inviting our community to join us at the Geovation Scotland Hub at Meadowbank House. The best kind of startup magic happens from the conversations you least expect, and we want to channel that into our Community Week.

In addition to networking with fellow founders, we will also be bringing in experts from the support ecosystem, ranging from legal support, to cash flow management.

On Tuesday 24th February, we welcome Erin Perrie from Harper Macleod LLP. Erin will talk through some of the legal fundementals for startups, to ensure you're best prepared for success when growing your business.

Harper Macleod LLP will deliver an engaging and practical session designed to equip you with the essential legal foundations needed to build and scale a successful start‑up. We’ll explore the key issues every early‑stage business should understand—from choosing the right business structure and protecting your intellectual property, to managing founder arrangements and funding business growth. This session will provide clear, actionable insights to help you avoid common pitfalls, make informed decisions from the outset, and create a strong legal platform for sustainable growth.

Harper Macleod’s corporate team is one of Scotland’s leading advisers to start‑ups, scale‑ups, and high‑growth enterprises. Known for its hands‑on, commercially focused approach, the team supports businesses at every stage of their journey—from incorporation and investment to major transactions and long‑term strategic planning. With deep experience across tech, innovation, and IP‑rich sectors, Harper Macleod brings practical, sector‑aware guidance tailored to the unique challenges of entrepreneurial businesses.

Erin will also be around for the afternoon and available for office hours with any founder or cofounders who would like time with her 121 to talk through specifics of their business.

Tea and coffee will be available in the morning, and lunch will be provided.

Please note, attendees will have to bring photographic ID with them on the day to show at reception.
