Living Machines will Play Us Out!
Living with Machines is a vibrant new collaborative project which breathes fresh life into 19th century strike and industrial songs of the North of England. The Yorkshire-based collective’s self-titled debut album brings together long-untouched archive material from the British Library, carefully recrafting these old songs for the modern audience.
“These powerful new melodies sound like they were meant for the lyrics, while the subject matter of striking, hardships and disasters will still resonate with listeners today.” (Steve Tilston)
