About this Event
Some of the most intriguing wines of Europe are those that come from the Germanic cultural sphere of influence. Often displaying cool-climate swagger, these wines are representative of their terroir and exhibit endless enjoyment. The underrated diversity of German wines with ever-present rapier-like acidity; or smoky, a lesser-known variety from Trentino in Northern Italy, not long ago part of Austria; maybe a peppery Grüner Veltliner from the Kamptal in Austria or a cheeky Gewürztraminer from Alsace.
Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
