About this Event
We’re excited to invite you to our event, Weights, where we will showcase the research and insights from our bachelor’s/master’s thesis.
Weights explores the concept of weight in various forms—the weight of sound, the physicality of instruments, and the contrast between heaviness and weightlessness—through performances and installations. This event invites you to experience how sound carries weight, how instruments can defy gravity, and how perception shifts between presence and absence.

Unstable Systems
Host: Nino Theys
Info: Sound artist and performer Nino Theys composes and performs live using machines and instruments, aiming to make them physically embody sound.
For Weights, he will premiere Unstable System, a dynamic hybrid live performance and installation.
By moving up and down in response to their own sound, the synthesizers he manipulates seem to resist his control.
This absurd endeavor seeks to evoke emotion and empathy for the machines, placing them in a state of autonomy, kinetic movement, and vulnerability. It’s an exploration aimed at breathing life into the machines themselves.
🕑: 09:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Enter the Thought Bubble
Host: ..o
Info: ..o (pronounced Thought Bubble) is a Bangalore-based sound art duo by Hari Krishna & Ashley Maurice, exploring opposing thought processes and their interactions. Their live shows tend to be almost ritualistic and devotional to something you cannot quite put your finger on.
"Enter the Thought Bubble" delves into interference sound, where overlapping waves of the same frequency but different directions create complex pressure patterns. Subtle pitch variations generate resonances, forming evolving sonic moiré textures in space.
