About this Event
This 2 day workshop for adults 18+, is an experiential learning process experiment with poetry and bookbinding a Poetry book.
POETRY ASPRAYER / POESÍA COMO REZO is a contemplation on how poetry can be a ritualistic process, healing, and sacred practice.
We will have two days of experimentation through writing and visual works in whichwill be guided by creative exercises, and bookbinding techniques for the participants to make their own poetry book.
We will begin the workshop through guided meditations and spaces to start writing what is most presentfor the participants. Throughout the process there will be rituals given to the participants to emphasize andgive more inspirations to the making process. Writing and visual work will be both very present for thisworkshop.
The second day of the workshop will be to bring together all the creativity into a Book form.
Participants will learn how to bind, use a needle & thread, and the necessary steps/patterns it takes to bring paper in a book form. All processes during this workshop are experiments and are meant for the participants to experiencesomething new and contemplate a new way of seeing/writing/feeling.
