Engage with the natural world in a mindful and creative way at Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve as we celebrate the summer solstice weekend. Begin with a gentle guided walk to gather natural materials, then create striking Cyanotype sun prints, using the power of the sun to produce beautiful blue artwork.
Weekend Wellness: Solstice Sun Printing invites you to slow down, connect with nature, and explore the magic of sunlight as a creative medium. With simple materials and inspiration drawn from the reserve, you’ll experience the wellbeing benefits of time outdoors in this peaceful landscape.
During the event, you’ll enjoy a calming walk around the reserve and learn how to make Cyanotype prints, an historic photographic process that uses sunlight to capture the delicate shapes of leaves, flowers, and other natural items.
This session will be led by a member of Kent Wildlife Trust’s Wellbeing Team, and all tools and materials will be provided. As we’ll be outdoors, please dress for the weather and wear comfortable footwear for walking.
