Wine expert Helen McGinn (BBC Saturday Kitchen and ITV This Morning) is much loved across the nation for helping us navigate the wine aisles, finding the perfect bottle for any occasion, and spotting the best bargains with so much to choose from. Helen’s love affair with wine dates back to her university wine society, and she began her career on a graduate scheme of a major UK supermarket, leading to many happy years spent travelling the world as a supermarket wine buyer. She studied wine, visited countless incredible vineyards and winemakers, and honed her expertise in how to select the best bottles to bring to the UK for shoppers to pick up at their local shop and enjoy at home.

Helen McGinn
Helen McGinn is the resident wine expert on BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen and ITV’s This Morning, and is an ex-supermarket wine buyer with decades of experience in tasting, buying and communicating about wine.
She is an international wine judge and drinks writer for Waitrose Food Magazine as well as various TV appearances including Celebrity Mastermind, Celebrity Weakest Link, Between the Covers and more.
Helen has won various awards for her blog “The Knackered Mother’s Wine Club”, including Fortnum & Mason’s Online Drink Writer of the Year and Red Magazine’s Best Blogger.
