After a record sell-out of our first two course offerings, I am delighted to offer a condensed course over the space of a weekend.There's no better way to learn to make your own silver jewellery than to immerse yourself feet first into a fun weekend intensive course.
During this course, you'll have the opportunity to build your skills and knowledge so that you’re ready to go home and start making jewellery yourself with the basic principles and knowledge you’ll need, not to mention 4 items of rather splendid jewellery for £265pp including lunch on both days.
With a small group size of up to 6 people, I'll guide you and teach you everything you need to know throughout the 2 days to make 4 pieces of jewellery to include:
-A set of 3 silver stacking rings including a sea-glass ring
-A pair of silver earrings
-A silver bangle with optional sea-glass charm included
-A pendant or pair of earrings made with silver clay
We’ll cover off some basic skills in cutting, forming metal and soldering to make a set of 3 silver stacking rings to include a sea-glass ring. You can texture and pattern your metal using hand tools or engraving tools. You might like to choose patterned wires, make your own twisted wire or turn round wire into square wire. Whatever you choose, it's a great way to start understanding the basics and the art of the possible!
When it comes to earrings, let your hair down and get those creative juices flowing! You can do so much with earrings - the possibilities are endless and you’ll have lots of lovely materials and tools at your fingertips to bring your designs to life.
You’ll also learn a new technique entirely with an introduction to the magic that is silver clay! You'll be amazed by the incredible and professional results you can achieve in such a short amount of time, this time making a beautiful fine silver pendant.
Finally, you’ll make a fabulous silver bangle which you can design yourself, adding any embellishments you choose.
You'll be provided with the materials required to make all of your pieces, however, should you wish to buy gemstones and metal upgrades/additional materials for your pieces then these will be available to purchase at the time.
This is a wonderfully fun introduction to making your own silver jewellery and will give you all the basic knowledge you need to go on to design and make your own jewellery in future!
A sandwich lunch will be provided on both days as well as plentiful refreshments throughout.

*The minimum age for this workshop is 14 due to the use of extreme heat and chemicals. All children under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult*
*There is a £50 non refundable deposit included in the course price due to the limited number of workshops and spaces available.*
*Cancellations made up to 4 weeks in advance of the course starting will be refunded, minus the £50 non-refundable deposit*
*Cancellations made up to 2 weeks in advance of the course starting will be refunded 50% of the course fee*
*I'm sorry, we love animals but we are unable to accommodate animals in our studio for safety reasons*
