About this Event

Becoming Visible: A Participatory Workshop Series on Marketing

This event is part of the Actualize AiR Artist Development Series, in partnership with Curatorial Resident Regina Carillo. Free and open to the public, with limited spots available.

The final wednesday workshop in this series will take place on May 27 at Actualize AiR from 6-8pm! Explore our eventbrite profile to learn more.

This is a working space for artists who want to move from ideas into action.

Participants will:

  • Share about your marketing efforts to date
  • Receive feedback, ideas, and support from the group
  • Build a clear, personalized action plan



Wednesday Workshop #3: Content Strategy

This interactive workshop helps artists translate their story and audience insights into a clear and intentional content strategy. Through guided exercises, real-world examples, and group discussion, participants will learn how to create content that is consistent, engaging, and aligned with their artistic voice and goals.

  • Turning ideas into structured content
  • consistency and random posting
  • Creating content that builds community

Workshop Schedule

Opening & Icebreaker (30 min)

  • Introductions
  • What kind of content are you currently creating?
  • What feels easy vs challenging when sharing your work online?

Content Strategy in Practice (15 min)

  • What makes content effective for artists?
  • Examples of artists using content strategically across platforms
  • Discussion: intention vs random posting

Reflection Activity (30 min)

  • Participants will define their content direction through guided prompts:
  • What types of content feel most natural to you? (process, finished work, storytelling, education, lifestyle)
  • What do you want your content to communicate?
  • How does your content reflect your story and connect with your audience?

Integration & Application (30 min)

  • Building a simple and sustainable content plan
  • Choosing the right formats and platforms
  • Creating a realistic posting rhythm
  • Turning ideas into actionable next steps

Closing & Networking (15 min)

  • Share reflections
  • Open conversation and connection
