WE WILL RISE is a powerful new staged reading inspired by the true story of Toni Curtsinger, a survivor of the 2012 “Dark Knight Rises” movie theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado. Written by playwright JP Rapozo, this intimate theatrical experience explores the ripple effects of trauma, resilience, and community — and the strength it takes not only to survive, but to stand, speak, and rise.Presented as part of the 2026 Rogue Festival in Fresno, CA, WE WILL RISE invites audiences into a deeply human story of healing, memory, and courage.
