𝗪𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀
April 2026 marks the release of We Stood Like Kings’ sixth album Pinocchio. Since 2011, the band played over 400 shows in 20 European countries, released five studio albums and created a series of live soundtracks for cult movies including the world-famous Koyaanisqatsi. This new opus Pinocchio – the band’s heaviest work to date – echoes the fairy tale’s dark, violent and initiatory universe and opens the door to reflections on betrayal and power dynamics. We Stood Like Kings here takes a new musical turn, mixing piano-based post-rock with post-metal riffs, sharp synths, neoclassical textures and progressive dynamics.

Incorporating a wide pallette of instrumentation as well as surprising influences from hard rock and classical guitar music, Wanheda have been blazing their own trail in post-rock since 2016. The result is a refreshing combination of the familiar and the unexpected which makes Wanheda a welcome and stimulating source for the soundtrack of your life!
In 2026, the band celebrates its 10th anniversary and has put together a dynamic and varied setlist as part of the build-up to a special anniversary show later this year in Mechelen.
