Learn to play Hong Kong-style mahjong with new friends and connections at the Vizcaya Village Night Market!
We Met in Miami and 888 Mahjong Social are teaming up for this very special Game Night for adults 21+ featuring Hong Kong-style mahjong. This new community organization is dedicated to sharing the joy, strategy and cultural significance of mahjong.
Beginners are welcome, and no experience is necessary! Instructors will guide attendees through this four-player game.
As always during We Met in Miami game nights, we’ll start with an icebreaker and then play in timed rounds with randomly assigned groups and a table-shuffle moment, so everyone gets to meet new people.

At our events, we wear wristbands that show others who we are and what we’re looking for (choose one, two or all three):

The market has got your dinner (and dessert) plans covered: Local vendors are offering up everything from boba to arepas to pasta bolognese. Come hungry!
Parking is free and plentiful at Vizcaya Village!
Here’s what to expect:
5 p.m. Market opens. Come early to enjoy live music, shop local vendors, grab dinner and mingle.
6 p.m. Check in at the We Met in Miami booth. Grab your wristbands and name tags.
6:15 p.m. Opening. We’ll start with some introductions and an icebreaker.
6:30 p.m. Let’s play. Instructors from 888 Mahjong Social will guide us through a game of Hong Kong-style mahjong.
7:40 p.m. Table shuffle! We’ll shuffle to our second group assignment and continue playing with new connections.
8:50 p.m. Group photo. Say cheese!
9 p.m. Market closes. Did you meet someone interesting? Fill out a Connection Card! If you match, we’ll reconnect you after the event.
