Create your own eco-friendly masterpiece while exploring the beauty of sustainable art and natural dyes
About this Event

Step into the world of botanical color and sustainable creativity during this hands-on eco-dyeing experience led by artist Verónica Buitrón.

Using flowers, leaves, berries, and plant-based pigments, you’ll create your own one-of-a-kind silk textile through a process known as ecobundling — a technique that transforms natural materials into richly detailed prints and patterns.

As your textile steams and develops its final colors, you’ll continue experimenting with berry-based inks, natural pigments, and pH modifiers to discover how chemistry changes color in real time.

Whether you’re an artist, creative hobbyist, sustainability enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique night out in Miami, this workshop offers a relaxing and memorable experience blending art, nature, and history.

LOCATION | This activity takes place exclusively at Vizcaya Village, the estate’s historic farm village, and does not include access to the east side of the property where the Main House and gardens are located.

AGRICULTURE NIGHTS: CONNECT & CREATE SERIES | Discover the beauty and importance of plants in our lives through “AgriCulture Nights.” This inspiring monthly series invites the community to explore their relationship with nature by engaging in creative activities like art making and cooking. Join us at Vizcaya Village to deepen your connection to the environment, learn about the uses of plants, and celebrate their significance to both people and the planet. Each session offers a unique opportunity to create, connect, and cultivate wellness in a vibrant, supportive setting.

To promote inclusion for all, Vizcaya ensures that all community programs, after-hour and weekend events for locals, feature activities that are physically accessible to all visitors. While not all areas of the estate are wheelchair accessible, community programs are purposefully located in areas without stairs or that can be accessed via a ramp.
