About the Speaker: Nina Flores

Nina Flores serves as the Executive Director of the West Brighton Community Local Development Corporation, doing business as Staten Island Business Outreach Center (SIBOC) and the Forest Avenue Business Improvement District (BIC). Appointed as the first Latina Executive Director in January 2020, Nina oversees SIBOC's small business and neighborhood development divisions, which support NYC, state, and federal initiatives such as the SBA Women's Business Center, NYC SBS MWBE Leadership, and the NYS Entrepreneur Assistance Center. With over 21 years in nonprofit economic development, Nina assists Staten Island's North Shore merchants, provides one-on-one technical guidance, and leads workshops to empower small business owners. Additionally, she serves on several advisory boards, including the NYC Small Business Advisory Commision, appointed by Mayor Eric Adams in 2022.
