Mother’s Day with the Master Gardeners! In addition to guided tours of the historic Roeder Home, we’re excited to welcome the Whatcom County Master Gardeners, who will be on-site offering expert-led tours of the house gardens! Sunday, May 10th. The WSU Whatcom County Master Gardeners will give tours of the house gardens from 12PM-3PM, and the Whatcom County Historical Society will offer tours of the Roeder Home between 1-4 pm.
Tour this handsome home constructed in 1910 for influential citizen Victor Roeder, born on Bellingham Bay in 1861. The house and grounds were donated to Whatcom County for public use in 1971.
The Whatcom County Historical Society has teamed up with Whatcom County Parks and Recreation to offer tours of the house, every month on the second Sunday with tours starting on the hour at 1, 2 and 3 pm. Tour groups will be limited in size and participation will be first come first serve.
The Roeder Home is located at 2600 Sunset Drive in Bellingham. Street parking is available, plus accessible parking at the rear of the building.
