About this Event
About the Class
Join artist, Poppy-Lee Jennings, for an evening of painting mushrooms. Learn the basics of mycological illustration and how to most effectively use watercolour paints to create beautiful studies of fungi.
Poppy-Lee will lead you through different techniques and painting styles within the field of watercolour illustration. On the day, we'll be using a selection of reference photographs (we're out of foraging season, after all), and exploring them in detail for life-like watercolour studies.
The class is perfect for beginners, novices, watercolourists, hobbyists, and anyone with a curiosity for painting mushrooms. You'll have your own fungi painting to take away with you at the end of the evening, as well as new skills to put into practice in your own time. A list of materials will also be provided after the workshop for anyone who wants it.
