Get ready to dive into the world of plant-inspired creativity with this fun 4-week art course!
About this Event

Join artist, Poppy-Lee Jennings, for a month of botanical art. Learn the basics of botanical illustration and how to most effectively use pencil, ink, and watercolour paint to create beautiful studies of flowers.

Poppy-Lee will lead you through different techniques and painting styles within the field of botanical illustration. On the day, we'll be using locally sourced in-season flowers, and exploring them in detail for life-like pencil, ink, and watercolour studies.

The class is perfect for beginners, novices, watercolourists, hobbyists, and anyone with a curiosity for painting flowers. Each week will focus on different key skills for developing botanical illustrations, inspired by a long history of artists, as well as the importance for finding your own unique style.

This course runs for four weeks from Thursday 4th - Thursday 25th June 2026. All four sessions are included in the ticket price.

Thursday 4th June, 18:00-20:00
Thursday 11th June, 18:00-20:00
Thursday 18th June, 18:00-20:00
Thursday 25th June, 18:00-20:00
