Join Arin for an evening of creativity, community and good wine at Valo Wine's Vancouver waterfront tasting room. Learn how to paint a PNW vineyard - no experience necessary and all supplies included. Tickets include one glass of wine!

I'll teach you how to paint a beautiful winery landscape with watercolors! We will warm up by exploring our color palette as always. I will begin by demonstrating some techniques to landscape painting in watercolor, this month focusing on the one-point perspective associated with long rows of vineyards. You'll then be able to apply your new skills to your own painting, following along as I show you each step of the way.

You'll take home a finished Pacific Northwest landscape painting. You'll also leave with a set of artist's skills that you'll be able to directly apply to future paintings - whether you paint in your bedroom or plein air out in nature. A limited palette of watercolors and high quality watercolor paper will be provided at the event, but you are encouraged to bring your favorite painting supplies as well. Ticket price includes one glass of wine! Other food and drinks can be purchased separately to enjoy while we paint, including the venue's brand new flatbreads and charcuterie boards. We'll be taking over the cozy main room on a quiet night, with plenty of space to spread out and also make new friends as you paint.

Arin: Arin is a watercolor and mixed media artist based in Portland. With a background in the physical sciences, she lives at the intersection of nature, science and art and uses art as a platform to teach, explore and understand how the world works while breaking down the barrier between art and science.
