Filmmaker ALEJANDRO JODOROWSKY revisits his childhood in Tocopilla, Chile, circa 1929 and faces his Jewish-Ukrainian immigrant parents: his stern father Jaime, a Stalinist who views him with shame and embarrassment, and his long-suffering mother Sara, who always sings operatically and imagines Alejandro to be the reincarnation of her father.
