Ward 3 Community Bike Ride

Our aim for this ride – beyond getting out on what we hope will be a beautiful spring day – is to explore opportunities to grow Ward 3’s protected bikeway network. 

This will be a one-way, open jaw ride of about seven miles with a number of discussion stops. The route, from Tenleytown via the Palisades to the Georgetown waterfront, tends downhill and is not strenuous. We’ll look at the need for cross-ward protected bikeways and some excellent infrastructure that does exist – the New Mexico Ave. NW – and planned Palisades Trolley Trail improvements and the Arizona Ave.-Capital Crescent Trail connection. We’ll wrap up with discussion in Georgetown. Please join us!
