International award-winning composer and multi-instrumentalist Wanees Zarour (USA/Palestine) known for his work that transcends traditions brings his Chicago based project, East Loop to Constellation for a release concert of their anticipated new album “Silwan.” Zarour’s compositions blend the buzuq, oud, and Arabic music tradition into a jazz framework, while the collaborative artistry of the ensemble, featuring some of Chicago’s most inventive musicians and improvisers, adds to the album’s unique sound.
