In late 2013ish Los Angeles California, Wand formed up and got right on it, playing, writing & plotting a path forward – a not-undifficult task for a special new band come to life in the twenty-teens and audaciously self-identifying as “Wand”. The psychedelic rock quintet Wand from Los Angeles has its roots deep in the US garage rock revival: frontman Cory Hanson and drummer Evan Burrows are members of Ty Segall's live band The Muggers, and all their albums came out on the scene label Drag City Records.
The first three albums by the very productive Wand were released within just one year and in 2024 they're touring with a new one. Stay tuned!
