Walt’s Frozen Head are an Experimental Art Rock band from Leeds who offer a chaotic blend of psych, prog, electro pop, horror and comedy.
Taking as much influence from Terry Gilliam cartoons as from avant guard 60s pop and have been described as perfectly arranged musical madness.
The bands name is based around the myth that Walt Disney requested that his head be frozen and brought back to life in the future.
Walt’s live shows incorporate projections, props and costumes and have enjoyed support slots with Embrace and Evil Blizzard.
The band have had continued support from BBC Introducing and were invited to perform a live session in 2025.
When asked to describe their shows the band replied…
“Imagine coming round from an anaesthetic while the Cartoon Network flickers beside your hospital bed”
Their debut genre bending album “Zero to Unicorn” with be realised early in 2026. The decent into madness never sounded so good.
For fans of early Pink Floyd, Cardiacs, XTC, Gong, Blur and the Mighty Boosh.
