Book your place for a 1½ hour online Train the Trainer session aimed at supporting you to take out the key messages, from the Mental Health Awareness & Suicide prevention (Half Day) training session.
You must have already completed "Walsall Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Training (Half Day)" before attending this session.
New FREE half day sessions are available every month through our Eventbrite page. Please do not book on to the Train the Trainer session before you complete this course.
In partnership with Walsall Council, Birmingham Mind are delivering a series of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention training courses for people living or working in Walsall.
This is an ONLINE course which is free to access. The course will include;
- Information on how to identify the signs of potential suicide risk
- Knowledge on the attitudes, myths and stigma that surround mental health and suicide
- Information on triggers for stress and mental health problems and increased suicide and be able to intervene early and share skills and build confidence on how to have conversations about mental health and suicide
- Knowledge on where to signpost people
- Knowledge and facilitate knowledge on how to use wellbeing plans
- Knowledge on how to challenge stigma and lead the promotion of mental wellbeing days
- Have an understanding how to look after their own mental health and wellbeing
- Information on how to recruit mental wellbeing and suicide prevention community champions
We limit the number of people per session but will be delivering more throughout the year, so please contact us if you would like information on future dates.
The course will be delivered by a training professional from Birmingham Mind, who deliver a range of mental health training to over 2,000 people every year in the West Midlands.

The course will be delivered on Wednesday the 13th November 2024 from 09:30 am to 11:00 am.
Entry requirements:
You must be over 18 and living or working in Walsall. This could include staff and leaders in local businesses, statutory, voluntary and community sector organisations. You must have already completed the half day course.
Once you register:
You’ll receive an email confirmation with a welcome email also sent before the event with more information on the course.
Access:
The course is funded in partnership with Walsall Council, with no charge for you to attend.
