Created for UCL’s Bicentenary in 2026, this graduation tour revisits the spaces that shaped your UCL story: past, present and future.
About this Event

Since it was founded in 1826, UCL (University College London) has been a place for different views and ideas, attracting people from all over the world.

During Graduation Week, our guided walking tour gives graduates the chance to show off where they studied to friends and family, discovering - and rediscovering - the people and places that have shaped our iconic Bloomsbury campus.

The tour blends historical facts and moments with the stories of people who studied and worked at UCL over the past 200 years, showing how their ideas and discoveries have changed the world. From our progressive founders and first female professor to medical trailblazers and student activists, discover how UCL’s community has shaped and continues to shape society.

Join us to experience UCL and London in new and unexpected ways as you celebrate your milestone moment.

The Bloomsbury campus walking tour has been created for UCL’s Bicentenary in collaboration with the following teams: Campus Experience, UCL200 and Museums and Collections.

What to Expect

The UCL200 Walking Tour lasts around 60 minutes and begins at the North Lodge Gift Shop in the Main Quad. You’ll be guided through key sites across the Bloomsbury campus. We finish at the Octagon, where you can explore the redeveloped Cloisters, visit the Two Centuries Here UCL200 Exhibition,

After the tour, you and your guests can enjoy drinks and refreshments at selected campus outlets, or explore other graduation activities such as photography in the Main Quad.

Accessibility

The route has been planned with accessibility in mind, and support staff will be on hand to assist if needed. Toilets and welfare facilities are available along the way, and there will be a scheduled break halfway through the tour. Please let us know in advance if you have any specific requirements, so we can support you and share further information.
