Join us Sunday, July 14 for a walking tour of public alleys and hillside stairways in the historic communities of Mohawk and Brighton. Both were villages before Over-the-Rhine even existed, flanking the Miami and Erie Canal with immigrant communities and industry. We'll connect between the two neighborhood regions via the newly constructed Brighton Place Steps! We'll look at current corridors, how they were used historically and how they're used today. But there's also been contemporary erasure of these public connections, through urban renewal and class division.
Tickets are on a donation basis. The recommended donation is between $5 and $10, as we will roll proceeds back into our mission!
(This differs from an urban hike such that historical research will be shared at several stops along the route.)
