About this Event
We will look at post boxes & telephone boxes as we meander our way down from the Georgian quarter to the waterfront and back up to Lime Street/St George’s Hall Plateau. Look out for a Liverpool Special, learn about the freedom the introduction of the post box offered, the involvement of writer Anthony Trollope & the Cunard liners plus how a chance encounter in the Lake District formed the idea for the postal system in the UK.
Please arrive by 10:45 am to check in with your Blue Badge Guide.
Meet by the Postbox at the Junction of Canning Street and Bedford Street South – opposite the Deutsche Kirche Liverpool (L7 7BX)
