About this Event
Flags in the Wind is a powerful short film by European Movement UK.
Filmed in the the city of Lviv, Ukraine's humanitarian hub, Flags in the Wind highlights the resilience and determination of people fleeing the devastation of war, drawing parallels with Britain's own wartime past.
Released on the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, it reminds us never to take Europe's peace for granted, amplifying the voices of those still fighting tyranny today.
To mark 4 years since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Wales for Europe are proud to be hosting this film screening for members and supporters to experience. This event will also feature a session with speakers: Alistair J.K Shepard - Acting Head of Department of International Politics at Aberystwyth University; Rhys Hughes-Evans, from the charity Settled - which supports EU citizens and refugees from Ukraine, living in post-Brexit UK.
