Join us for the February edition of VR Film Screening, a monthly event dedicated to immersive storytelling. This edition, Synthetic Bodies, explores the blurred boundaries between human and artificial intelligence. Presented in the frame of Bozar’s focus on AI alongside Ho Tzu Nyen’s exhibition P for Power, this programme invites you to reflect on the relationship between body, mind, and machine.
In Centaur by Pontus Lidberg, human dancers meet an AI co-creator that learns from their movements and becomes part of the performance itself. The result is a poetic dialogue between body and algorithm that questions what makes us human.
In I, Philip by Pierre Zandrowicz, an android modeled after writer Philip K. Dick recalls fragments of memory, identity, and imagination. Through its perspective, the film blurs the line between consciousness and simulation.
In Convergence by Wessel Albertse, a speculative future in Cape Town reveals the tension between humans, technology, and nature. As rising seas and autonomous AI reshape the planet, the film envisions a world at the edge of transformation.
VR Film Screening at Bozar is designed to be welcoming and accessible. Attentive guides will be on hand to ensure you have a seamless experience.
