WE'RE BACK! Girls Forward's Girls Run is on Saturday May 23rd & Sunday May 24th, 2026. Join us for a morning of girl power! The Girls Forward team is thrilled to be working with Rocky Mountain Soap Co's Women’s Soap Run for our annual Girls Run in Canmore, Alberta.
We're recruiting volunteers (women, ages 21+) to support us on either or both days - we couldn't do what we do without you!
DETAILS
Distances: 1km and 2.5km for the participants
When: Saturday May 23rd and Sunday May 24th 2026 (schedule below)
Who: Volunteers (women, ages 21+)
What's Included:
- Girls Forward t-shirt
- Onboarding and training
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Your exact roles for the event are to be determined. Examples of responsibilities include: greeting girls and families at the entrance, registration table, snack table, general supervision and getting the girls pumped up to run!!
- Onboarding and training (online) will be required to ensure you're well-prepapred and confident to mak ethis the best experience for both you and the girls
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Submitting this Eventbrite order does NOT mean you are guaranteed a position at the event. You will receive an email from us regarding this as we factor in everyone's availability and the amount of people who apply.
- IF AT ANY TIME YOU CAN NO LONGER ATTEND THE EVENT, PLEASE EMAIL [email protected] IMMEDIATELY SO WE CAN ACCOMMODATE THESE CHANGES.
EVENT SCHEDULE
- Note that volunteers will be asked to arrive approx 30mins prior to the "check-in" time (tentatively 30mins, could be earlier - exact time will be shared later on) and potenitally stay another 30mins after event conclusion for clean-up
SATURDAY, MAY 23rd:
7:30 AM - Check-in / Registration
7:50 AM - Welcome to Girls Forward / Introduce Role Models / Group Photo
8:00 AM - Warm up / Get Race Ready with the Role Models!
8:15 AM - Girls Run (Distance: 1km or 2.5km)
9:00 AM - Autographs & Photos & Swag Bags!
9:15 AM - Event Conclusion / Cheer Station Set-Up
SUNDAY, MAY 24th:
8:30 AM - Check-in / Registration
8:50 AM - Welcome to Girls Forward / Introduce Role Models/ Group Photo
9:00 AM - Warm up / Get Race Ready with the Role Models!
9:15 AM - Girls Run (Distance: 1km or 2.5km)
10:00 AM - Autographs & Photos & Swag Bags!
10:15 AM - Event Conclusion / Cheer Station Set-Up
