Different Minds, Equal Worth
Autism and your Rights: Making Sense of Education, Health and Social Care
UWE Bristol, in collaboration with Autism Independence, is pleased to invite you to volunteer at a community workshop. Autism Independence is an established Bristol based community organisation that works with parents of autistic children and young people with or/without learning disability.
This initiative offers university students a meaningful opportunity to engage with local, diverse communities. This will support the development of future practitioners by building the cultural understanding, skills, and confidence needed to work effectively and compassionately across diverse communities.
At the heart of this is Autism Independence’s call to action: to create culturally intelligent, competent, and inclusive services that are culturally safe, responsive, and grounded in the lived experiences of the communities they serve.
The workshop is part of the UWE Bristol project: Different Minds, Equal Worth: A Case of Autism Independence.
