To celebrate the finale of the Rice Lyfe (RL) x Volcano Kimchi (VK) collaboration, we are hosting an exclusive evening dedicated to the art of the ferment. Join us at the Sequoia Sake tasting room for a deep dive into the flavors that made our Kimchi Fried Rice and Mango Kimchi Inari's fan favorites.

Step into the heart of San Francisco’s only sake brewery to witness a masterclass in craft. Whether you are a fermented-food fanatic or a curious epicurean, this event offers a deep dive into the soul of Korean and Japanese flavors.

The Menu:

• Volcano Kimchi Tasting Flight: Sample a range of Aruna’s small-batch kimchis, followed by a comforting bowl of Kimchi Jjigae (Stew)—the ultimate expression of aged kimchi.The Signature "Collab" Inari: Rice Lyfe’s viral Kimchi Fried Rice Inari, featuring Volcano Kimchi’s signature gochujang and savory bulgogi.
• The Seasonal Inari: A specially curated, chef-selected topping designed to complement the evening's sake profiles.
• The "DIY" Garnish Bar: A third Inari flight where you become the creator. Top your rice with a variety of artisanal sesame seeds, fresh aromatics, and Volcano Kimchi’s premium ferments.

The Education: Food tastes better when you know the story behind it. During your session, enjoy a live demonstration and educational talk by Volcano Kimchi. Learn about the biological alchemy of the fermentation process and why "living foods" are the backbone of great cuisine.

The Drinks: Everything is better with Sake. Sequoia Sake will offer an optional, curated Sake Pairing available for purchase at the event. Discover how the crisp, complex notes of locally brewed namazake (raw sake) and pasturized sake cut through the heat and funk of premium kimchi.
