Join us for a Fort Point take on Kölsch Service—the way to drink Kölsch in its birthplace of Cologne, Germany—and spend the evening drinking many tiny glasses of cold, delicious KSA to celebrate SF Beer Week!
WHAT'S KÖLSCH SERVICE ALL ABOUT?
Our flagship beer KSA is a Kölsch Style Ale inspired by the hometown beer of Cologne, Germany. And in Cologne, they don't just pour you a pint, instead you participate in kölsch service.
It's something of a social ritual, with everyone drinking out of small, .2L glasses (called stanges) while servers circulate with big trays (called crowns) to replenish you with a fresh glass of kölsch any time you're low. It's a surprisingly delightful way to gather with friends, and let the conversation flow as you share small, delicious glasses of kölsch (in our case, KSA). And something about those tiny glasses makes KSA taste better than ever—you'll see!
