From Legacy to Launch: Honoring the Heroes of San Francisco

The New Community Leadership Foundation (NCLF) is proud to host our second annual Vision Award Fundraising Celebration, a night dedicated to honoring the heroes of San Francisco who are building equity, creating opportunities, and transforming communities.

This year’s theme, “From Legacy to Launch: Build It Here, Transform It Everywhere,” reminds us that lasting change begins at home. By lifting up leaders who invest deeply in San Francisco, we create a ripple effect that inspires transformation far beyond our city.

On Thursday, February 26, 2026, we’ll gather at the Koho Co-Creative Hub in San Francisco to celebrate five incredible honorees:

  • Innovative Leadership Award: Dontaye Ball and Quanisha Johnson, Café Melange
  • Community Impact Award: Richard Beal, Tenderloin Housing Clinic
  • Youth Empowerment Award: Susan Brown, Peer Talk Media
  • Visionary Leadership Award: Ken Johnson, Urban Advantage TV and SFAACC
  • Equity Champion Award: Cheryl Shanks, SoulStation

Each of these leaders represents the heart of our mission... to recognize, support, and amplify those who work tirelessly to strengthen our neighborhoods and empower the people who call them home.

By purchasing a ticket or making a donation, you are investing in NCLF’s ongoing work to build stronger, more resilient communities. Your support allows us to continue developing equity-driven leadership, creating programs that uplift families, and ensuring that San Francisco remains a place where everyone can thrive.

Together, let’s honor our heroes, celebrate our legacy, and launch a future where transformation is possible everywhere.
