Join us in Manchester to see “Voices from the Wall”, our interactive exhibition exploring the history of the Dacians on Hadrian’s Wall in parallel with the lives of Romanians living in England today.
The Dacians, the ancestors of the Romanians, came to Britain nearly two thousand years ago to help build and defend Hadrian’s Wall. We are thrilled to partner with Bronwen Riley and Arts Council England, to offer this itinerant exhibition, which is travelling from the North to the South of England this spring. There will be a short talk by writer and historian Bronwen Riley, who is the curator of the exhibition. She will be joined by Cristina Crizbasan, a Roman pottery specialist at Vindolanda Trust, which excavates Roman vestiges found on Hadrian’s Wall.
The opening event will take place on 8 May, 6.30 pm at the Romanian Consulate, on 9 Cooper Street, M2 2FW
