About this Event

You've seen them on your feed. Barefoot in saffron robes, walking 20+ miles a day through snowstorms and small towns, followed by millions online and thousands in the streets. The message that moved a divided country to line roadsides and weep: peace begins from within.

Vocal Toning for Peace is a 60-minute Tone Circle™ somatic singing meditation — guided live with the soothing sounds of crystal singing bowls — inspired by the one idea from the viral Walk for Peace pilgrimage that transcended every religion, background, and belief system it encountered: peace isn't something you find out there. It's already inside you. You just have to unlock it.

Through guided meditation and freeform vocal toning we use our own voices to drop below the noise, regulate the nervous system, and make direct contact with the frequency of peace that lives inside us. This is not a religious practice, but a somatic one that brings us back into mental, physical, and spiritual alignment through one of the most powerful nervous system regulation tools you've been carrying around this whole time without knowing it: your voice.

About Your Guide

Tone Circle Founder Briana Blythe has made it her mission to help all people reconnect with their voices as the powerful energy tools they are for greater clarity, healing, and manifestation. Before entering the world of sound healing, Briana trained extensively in classical vocal performance and opera. After burnout and personal loss led her into a silent career, it was the simple act of vocal toning that healed her relationship with her own voice—finally freeing it as an anytime, anywhere tool for restoring harmony from the inside out. She now leads deeply transformational vocal workshops and sound experiences that empower all participants to release fear, shame, and self-judgment around their voices, while offering vibrational attunements through her own vocal channel to support the elevation of collective consciousness.

What is improvised vocal toning?
It’s a simple, free-form practice of sustaining sound on a hum or open vowel. When paired with intention, vocal toning becomes a powerful tool for calming the nervous system, grounding the body, and rebalancing the mind. All sound is improvised—there’s no music to learn, no lyrics to memorize, and nothing to perform.
Feeling shy?
It’s totally okay to just listen at Tone Circle Seattle events—there’s no pressure to make sound, only an open invitation. Your voice matters because it’s yours—whether spoken, intoned, or silently felt. In a group vocal meditation, the magic isn’t in “singing pretty” or getting anything right—it’s in showing up. It starts with hearing yourself and, when you feel ready, allowing yourself to be heard. Still nervous? Bring an emotional support friend. All people are welcome!
What should I bring?
We often sit on the floor for most of the practice, so feel free to bring your favorite cushion, zafu, or anything else that helps you sit comfortably. Chairs will also be available. A water bottle is a great idea too—your vocal cords will thank you.

Where should I park?

Free street parking is available nearby the venue. However, Greenwood can be a busy area, especially on the weekends, so we recommend planning plenty of time to park.
